Guides & FAQs

Practical help for setup, offline maps, ride recording and safe compatibility research.

Bluetooth connection

Power on the bike, enable Bluetooth, grant Android permissions requested by the app, keep the device nearby and check whether the manufacturer's app is already connected. Some devices permit only one active connection.

Offline MBTiles maps

Download a raster MBTiles file from a source whose licence permits your use. Import it in the app, ensure enough storage is available and test the map before travelling. Large regional files may take time to copy and index.

GPX routes

Import your GPX file before the ride and check that the route appears as expected. Map data and GPX files are different formats; a GPX route does not contain the underlying map tiles.

Ride recording & GPS

Check Android location permission, device location settings and battery restrictions if recording stops in the background. GPS quality varies with buildings, weather, device placement and available satellite signals.

Read-only research

Experimental drivers may report incomplete or unverified information. Treat unknown fields as unknown, do not infer compatibility from a partial response, and do not use research tools while riding.

Report a problem

Include app version, Android version, bike model, display/controller and steps to reproduce. Review any diagnostic report before sharing and remove GPS tracks, serial numbers and personal data.
